The Full Story
Why 'Unseen'?
The name Unseen dates back to 2008, when the original Unseen Ministries was born out of a desire to see the youth and young adults of that generation encounter the love of Jesus in real, tangible ways. Influenced by the two scriptures below, Unseen reminds us to fix our eyes on eternity and the unseen things of the Kingdom of Heaven.

1 Corinthians 2:9: “However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him”
2 Corinthians 4:18: “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

While Unseen looks different now than it did in 2008, the heart is still the same;
devotion to Jesus and an obsession for worship.

Mission
Unseen exists to create music that fosters an atmosphere to deepen our relationship with Him, lead people to Jesus, and proclaim the truth to a world in need of a Savior.
Mission: The How
We live out our mission through worship nights (community nights) and songwriting camps. These events aim to create a community of believers who love Jesus, love to worship, and give opportunity to steward the songs God has trusted to us to share with the city and beyond.

The Upside Down Tree
Trees are significant throughout scripture, found from the beginning of Genesis to the end of Revelation. Jesus is specifically connected to three trees: The Tree in the Garden of Eden (Genesis), The Cross (The Gospels), and The Tree of Life (Revelation). The symbol of the tree points us back to the simple gospel and reminds us of the age to come, when Jesus returns for his Bride and the New Heaven and New Earth are established.

But why upside down?

Based on a vision the God showed us in 2008, the upside down tree signifies planting your roots in Heaven (the unseen) so your fruit bears on Earth.

Who We Are
We are culture builders. Unseen is a community of worshipers, songwriters, artists, thought leaders but most importantly Christ-followers whose desire is to glorify God and seek truth with understanding.
